SPA ETIQUETTE

Your visit to Jannati is all about wonderful relaxation. However, if you haven’t had a spa experience before, you may have some questions about how things work. If your first visit is around the corner, it can be very useful to read our Spa Etiquette. This will serve our guide of best practices, good-to-know tips and information. The following should tell you everything you need to know, so you can just focus on enjoying yourself.


TIMINGS

Jannati opens daily and you can always plan a visit.  Your access and facility usage is valid during your membership period and/or a day visit in the Spa.  

Gym & Fitness studio, swimming pool and wet areas are open from 8am to 9:30pm.  Salon & Spa services starts from 10am to 9pm, although sometimes later.

We advise you must leave the spa premises promptly before closing time. Management reserves the right to revoke anyone who violates the rules.

CHANGING ROOMS AND SHOWERS

We have a separate changing room for Gym & Pool usage. The facilities are clean and modern, with shower and safe locker areas.

Please put your soiled towels in the basket after use. 

Lockers

Individual locker key will be given upon arrival which will allow you to store your valuable belongings for safety & security purposes. Fresh clean towel and robe are available in each locker.   Locker key should be returned back to the Reception desk before leaving the Spa.

GYMNASIUM

Our professional Fitness trainers are available to assist and guide you to use the equipment properly. Please be courteous to staff and other guests while working out.

·         Return weight plates, dumbbells, and exercise mats to their designated places. Do not clung, leave dumbbells on the floor or weight plates on the bar when you are finished.

·         Do not use weights while on Cardio equipment.  Misuse of equipment can result in injury and/or damage to the equipment; follow directions and instructions. Ask assistance from the fitness staff if you are unfamiliar with equipment. 

·         Wear clean sportswear while working out.  Athletic or rubber shoes are required.

·         Dehydrated while working out, we recommend that you also drink water. 

Fitness Studio

 

Be on time for group fitness classes.   It is disruptive to the other participants and the instructor when you arrive late.  Athletic /rubber shoes are required.  No dress shoes, boots or sandals are permitted.

 

Taking a shower before & after workout activities is highly recommended.

 

SWIMMING POOL

Entrance fee is AED75 for adult & AED50 for a child (3 hours maximum use). Swimming pool rules & regulations is strictly applied.

The deepest part of the pool is around 2.2m but first part of the area is far shallower. Please note that the bottom of the pool, although smooth, is naturally uneven and designed with 5 blue color shades to identify the pool depth.

Swim Wear Policy

Appropriate swim wear, caps & goggles must be worn during your pool usage, Bikini style & revealing swimming outfit is strictly prohibited. The management reserves the right to determine whether swim wear is appropriate or not.

Swimming apparels & accessories for wet area use are available on retail display.

Kids Pool Usage

A child ages between 12 years & below and must be accompanied by a parent is only allowed to access in the pool, and for toddlers minimum 3 years old,  and must be potty trained.

Nursery Room

Nursery Room facility is available upon request. We advised our guests to leave their children/infant and her nanny at the nursery room in order for you to enjoy your visit in Jannati.

Children are not allowed to stay in the gym & fitness studio; and swimming pool including wet areas.  Boys under 6 years old & above will not be permitted to access and use the Spa facility.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Please respect others privacy. No photography policy is strictly applied. We advised you to obtain a prior permission from the Reception Desk.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

Everyone is welcome at Jannati, and each day we receive guests with a variety of different needs or health concerns.  In general, we recommend that all our guests to keep hydrated and remember to eat. This is especially important if you have diabetes.

If you have high blood pressure or a heart condition, then check with your doctor and be sure to limit your time in hot temperature, like steam or the sauna.

Medical conditions and treatments

If you’re booking a treatment for the first time, you will be required to fill out the Health Assessment Form. Our service providers will conduct a 10 minute health consultation to be aware if you have any medical conditions that may relevant. This includes if you are pregnant, have allergies or high blood pressure, or if you have any physical ailments or disabilities prior to your treatment. We can then make sure your treatment is right for you.

Epilepsy

If you have epilepsy, we advise you to have a friend, who is aware of your condition, with you during your visit.

Pregnancy access

If you’re pregnant, there is nothing to stop you enjoying Jannati Spa – provided you have a normal pregnancy and you take care to keep hydrated while bathing. In fact many pregnant women find floating in the warm geothermal waters the perfect way to relax. We even offer a special pregnancy massage.

You can book a treatment whenever you like during your pregnancy, although we specially recommend it after the first trimester. Our qualified service providers can suggest the right treatment for you.

BOOKING YOUR TREATMENT

Our treatments are extremely popular, so we recommend you book in advance to guarantee an appointment.

Let us know if you have a preference for a service provider and we’ll do our best to fulfill your request. However, bear in mind that during peak hours, and for less-requested treatments, it may not be possible.

During your treatment

We will adapt our treatment to suit your taste and your therapist will ask you about your preference with regard to music and light level for your comfort.

If you want your therapist to use a different pressure during your massage, just let them know. They will also be happy answer any questions or specific requests you have.

After your treatment

To get the best out of your treatment, take some time to relax afterwards at our Relaxation Rooms. Also don’t plan any stressful activities or vigorous exercise for after your treatment. That way you can carry the wonderful, relaxed feeling for as long as possible.

RETAIL DISPLAY

You can choose and buy wide array of Jannati retail products to take home with you from our display shop.

TREATMENT INFORMATION

Waxing is not recommended before a body treatment example body scrub and Moroccan bath treatments. If you choose to wax, you must at least wait for maximum 3 days hours prior to your service.

We advised not to use the wet areas (pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and/or steam) on the same day before and/or after your waxing treatment. 

Massages or body scrubs are not recommended if sunburned. It is essential that all guests shower prior to their service as it is soothing and beneficial for rinsing away unwanted minerals or chemicals on the body.

Hammam service is not recommended after your massage treatment on the same day. Likewise, facial and eyebrow bleaching is not recommended after your facial treatment on the same day.

VALUABLES

We recommend that you remove any jewellery like earrings, necklace, bracelet, and other body accessories before your treatment and bathing. You can store any valuables with the rest of your things in your locker in the changing rooms. Please ensure your locker is properly locked before you walk away.

Property stored in the lockers is stored at the owner’s risk and no liability for loss or damage thereto will be accepted by Jannati.

Lost and found

We keep any lost and found items for 1-2 weeks. If you’ve lost something, then please contact us. We can assist to track and find items for you; however, Jannati staff will not be held responsible of any lost valuable belongings.

FREEZING POLICY

Being a member of Jannati, you are entitled for a Freezing period upon request. Your membership will be on-hold for a certain given period depending on type of membership chosen.  

 

You may be required to provide a proof of evidence with valid reason (i.e. medical/health, traveling, and other personal concerns), to be submitted along with the completed Freezing Request Form available in the Reception Desk.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Jannati Membership cancellation is strictly non-transferable & non-refundable. A cancellation fee of 20% will be charged should you wish to cancel purchased treatment and package(s).

Please notify us 24 hours if you wish to cancel your booked PT session; otherwise, full session will be considered as used.

SMOKING & ALCOHOL

Smoking is not allowed anywhere in Jannati premises. For safety reasons, alcohol drinks are not allowed in the Spa. Anyone under the influence may be denied access to Jannati, for security reasons.

PRACTICE HYGIENE

Exercising will make you sweat and that can cause body odor. Wear a good anti-perspirant deodorant to keep odor to a minimum.  Do not spray yourself with perfume before hitting the gym—some people are very sensitive to scent and get headaches or migraines from the chemicals.

 

Taking a shower before & after workout activities is highly recommended.

PRAYER ROOM

Prayer rooms are available in the first floor and ground floor. Ask our staff on-duty for directions.

ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS

Respecting the environment is a key part of Jannati spa experience. You can do this during your visit in a number of ways.  Use towels only as minimum as you need to prevent unnecessary washing. Use only what you need.

PARKING

We offer free 24-hour security parking space exclusively for our valued members and guests.
